The end of an era - Fnatic trades three players with GODSENT

Tonight we witnessed what might be the biggest and most important player shuffle in CS:GO history, as one of the most dominating teams in the game Fnatic, replaces three of its members with GODSENT.

Robin “flusha” Rönnquist, Jesper “JW” Wecksell, and Freddy “KRiMZ” Johansson decided to part their way with the team, joining another Swedish team, which is lead by the former Fnatic member Markus "pronax" Wallsten, with who Fnatic won their first major in 2013.

Fnatic will try to replace them with GODSENT starting line up duo Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson and Simon “twist” Eliasson, while the last spot will be filled for now with the substitute player John “wenton” Eriksson.

It is clear that Fnatic bad form separated members in two groups, with one of them deciding to leave, while others decided to stick with the team. Fnatic coach confirmed that team will have to requalify for the next Major as they lost majority of the members. Their slot will be inherited by GODSENT. Meanwhile GODSENT confirmed that team will become property of the players, similar to what happened when former TSM squad formed Astralis.

Fnatic dominated start of the 2016 winning a total of six first places in the international tournaments.

Jesper “JW” Wecksel released official statement regarding his departure from Fnatic:

The day I never thought would come is sadly here, my departure from fnatic, after 3 years of blood, sweat and Monster we are closing a chapter. Our results have not been satisfying to all of us lately and I guess you can say that these internal pressures test friendships, unfortunately we did not pass that test. What we achieved over the years together can only be described as amazing, with some of the most enjoyable moments of my life… Thank you to all who’ve been a part of that journey.

Looking ahead we got the opportunity to be a part of GODSENT, and helping to develop the brand, and our future is exciting. The new chapter we are starting together with two very good friends to all of us, players we have played with before and players we are confident we will build a new legacy together with.

I hope the fans understand us and support us in our decision and can keep cheering for both teams in future clashes. In my heart i will still always be a Fnatic.

A special thanks to cArn, Devilwalk, znajder, pronax, olofmeister, Dennis, vuggo, PlesseN, wenton & the rest of the Fnatic management for this amazing journey. On to the next one! GG WP!
New Fnatic roster will look like this:

 Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer
 Dennis "denniis" Edman
 John "wenton" Eriksson
 Simon "twist" Eliasson
 Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson
