Lebanon & Mongolia survive close series at #TWC2016
Hopes were set high for the Iranians to be able to strike back after their loss on Cache, and the 8-7 half on Mirage certainly helped people to believe so. Such a close score line usually indicates equal opponents being matched-up, but nobody would have expected a 15-15 end to the regulation. What followed, was a crazy run through three overtimes, which eventually saw Lebanon come out on top. This means Iran has been eliminated, but after such a crazy match they certainly leave with a lot of dignity.
Cache's end leaves us questioning what could have happened had the Mongolians just made a tiny mistake more. Overall, their team has been incredibly inconsistent, ranging from weak players to a Bold "ncl" Batsuh that managed to lead with a KDR above 2.0 at some point. He really carried them over an incredibly narrow cliff, but as Pakistan lost steam on the second map, they finally were able to best them 2-0.
Today will see Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Palestine and South Korea battle it out. Tune in on azubu.tv/efragtv at 11:00 CEST.
